    Rats keep or toss them?
Ok this is a pretty basic question my ball and jcp are very weird eaters on how much they will eat from week to week so usually just to be safe I thaw out two for each of them using hot water wich generally takes around a hour now the question is if they dont eat one of the rats is it ok to freeze it again because i have been just throwin them away wich just seems wasteful

It depends how long you've had the rats thawed and what condition they're in when you try to refreeze them. If they still feel pretty firm I think it would be ok to refreeze them one more time. I wouldnt recommend doing it more than once though.

It depends on how much decomposition has occurred which will depend on how hot it was.

    When puffy toss em.

If it's only been a couple of hours and it's not been left in the hot spot, one re-freezing is ok.

The soundest solution though is one of two choices.

    Get a Tegu.

    Get a Monitor.

That way you never waste a rat.

I thaw out the mice for my balls first. If some of them do not eat which is rare. I can give the mice to my redtailed boas. They will eat everything in front of them.

I toss them out becasue I feel refreezing them increases the chance of them popping the next time I present them and they get constricted. If my guys ate F/T without constricting, I might consider it.
