    Make sure you have the next size cage for it :) They get massive.

    Id be covering up that exposed bulb. your snake could wrap around it, and get burned pretty bad.

    Need a hide box. You can use a simple shoe box. Or even a 12 pack case of soda.

    Do you have a way to check/regulate the temperature the bulb is creating? That looks a lot like the bulb I used as a basking spot for young monitors, which gets really warm.

    I love burms.

    I wish they didn't get so big. I like them more than ball's.

    Funny thing is when I was like 12 years old I almost had my parents suckered into getting me one but then I changed my mind to a ball.

    They would have flipped about the size of a burm.

    cover the light or put it on the outside, i am in veterinary medicine and one of the most common things i see with snakes and lizards is heat burns. itll cost alot more money to treat a nasty burn than the time it takes to get the light out of there
