    Couple Of Question...
Ok I was wondering if you are feeding frozen thawed, is it possible to pre-scent the enclosure/room? Also I was wondering how breeders get there breeder snakes up to weight without harming the snake. I would like my female to be ready for next year. She will be a year old in August. I have been feeding her every 4-7 days. Sometimes I just can't get around to the pet store so she goes a couple of extra days every so often. But she seems to be hungry a lot! I notice this when shes out every night looking around her enclosure, and she usually is doing this on the 4th day after her previous meal so I usually feed her when shes like this.. So do breeders feed there breeder snakes every 5-7 days as well, I have heard of people feeding every 3 days, so whats the deal? I just want her to be ready but I don't want to harm her in any way. Thanks for all the help.

She will not be ready for the '10 breeding season, your best bet is to shoot for '11 season

Yeah, she will not be ready for winter '09.

I precent by leaving the mouse to thaw right by my snake tubs.

I thaw next to the scales kids so they can get a teasing wiff...lol :) Keep in mind that snakes are opportunistic feeders. She is looking for an opportunity ;).

Your female is a bit young still. Hold off till the following season.

at that age i would say she more than likely wont breed. its typically atleast 2 winters if not 3 depending on how she does once she reaches that 1000-1200 gram mark.

Is it possible your snake food is a little small? The rat/mouse should be about as thick as the thickest part of your snake's body.

Get her to around 1500 grams and don't be in a hurry. They will breed when they are ready.
