scale rot?

does anybody have a clue on what this is. im puzzled i don't really know what to think or if i should carry her to the vet or what so im looking for second opinions here before the wallet comes out. as for the setup shes in a 29 gal glass tank, with an undertank heater that has a undertank heater set on 94 on the glass. newspaper is the substrate but i had turf in there till bout 2 months ago. http://flickr.com/photos/34726543@N05/3288369117/

yep thats scale rot for sure the blisters are a giveaway. whats your humidity like? are you keeping it clean and not allowing the substrate to become wet?

how are you measuring the temp on the surface? and are her hides clean? also 94 is to hot for a constant temp. i offer a small area in the tank thats 94, the rest is 90*F that gradients to wards the cool side to 80*F

yup thats somewhat advanced its surely time for the vet

Take it to the Vet ASAP. That is nothing to ignore...

I agree, thats going to turn into an open wound shortly.

okay thats what i was afraid of. going to be going to the vet shortly. do you think it can wait till tomorrow or is it an emergency that should be treated right away. she was on newspaper and spilt her water id say she sat on it about an hour. as soon as i saw it i changed it. im contemplating switching back to turf, it was just easier for me to clean and more durable than paper.

Take her in as soon as possible, but if it has to be a day away, that is fine.

Put her on white Papertowels so that you can monitor any fluids that are escaping from the wounds.

TAKE HER OFF THAT HEAT.

Turn the temps down to 85 for now.

she just ate about 45 mins ago too, so now im worried about the vet stressing her out and a regurge.

reduce the heat to 90*F 94 is to hot, and get her in a clean sterile enclosure NO WATER. do not let her back in her enclosure until you have cleaned everything. and get her to the vet tomorrow.
