Can my Boa shed to many times to soon
Hi everyone, my boa concerns me a little and this is why:
I bought him on January 27 and the seller told me that is last shed was the week before. (So around January 20)
Then on February 6 he shed again and today February 17 his eyes are milky so he`s going to shed again soon.
So this is like 3 shed not even in 1 month :O
He`s 1 ½ year old and 2000g and eat 1 medium rat every 10 days.
So what do you guys think about this.
Re: Can my Boa shed to many times to soon
Multiple repeated sheds usually means there's something wrong. It could be many things: mites, mild scale rot/irritation, husbandry errors, etc. You need to find out what the problem is and fix it. Is he soaking a lot?
Re: Can my Boa shed to many times to soon
no he do not soak at all, there is not mites, no scale rot, he looks fine and act fine but i did read ones that changing habitat like store to home can cause a shed that`s what I thought happen the first time he shed with me but now again so soon it concerns me
Re: Can my Boa shed to many times to soon
Yeah, multiple sheds back to back like that are usually a very clean sign something is wrong.
