    now with the pre lay shed coming up for me, well i hope it is do they go thur the normal shedding process ie eyes turning blue etc etc etc or how do they do it???

    The shed is just a normal shed. It usually happens about 2 weeks after ovulation. Egg laying is about 30 days after the shed.

    Yes they do, than about 30 days later they will lay eggs.

    Did you witness an ovulation 10 to 14 days ago?

    i think i did this is my first yr and she got REALLY big and it was rock hard but so far none of the sheeding stuff is happening pre lay shed should be thursday to saturday of this week and her eyes have yet to turn blue and all that fun stuff

    Promise you waiting for this shed and into the laying will be like trying to watch water boil! But it will eventually happen. And congrats!!
