    average size?
I'm curious as to what a normal size range would be for a 10 month old male BP?

I picked one up from a breeder locally and it is surprising me greatly. He's only eaten once yet has grown 4 inches in the 2 months I've had him...he is 32 inches exactly, not sure of weight (no scale)

Everywhere I read it says that males are usually smaller than females

All ball pythons have their own growth rate. There is no magic table that says how big your BP should be after a certain number of months (unfortunately).

I have a girl who is 5 months old and almost 300 grams and another girl who is 6 months old and not even 200 grams yet.

I would get a scale, its very helpful to determine how much they are growing. I have discovered that getting their length is pretty hard and really inacurate.

All of mine seem to be growing at different rates, so I don't think you can really say what they should weigh or how long they should be at any given point. As long as your little guy looks healthy, he most likely is healthy.

You really might want to think about picking up a scale. It's the best way to judge growth over time.

That's pretty much what I thought it just seemed odd to be looking at other BPs cause I want to pick up a second one and they are all older than mine but MUCH smaller.

I also measure length using a tailer tape to get an exact measurement lol. I'll pick up a scale this week.

Also would creating a divide in a 48x15x18 custom tank be too small for an adult ball on each side? I know better than to put both in one tank. and if I do subdivide should I use a solid splitter instead of clear?
