Does anyone know if the USPS will ship snakes? I have some friends that do tarantulas and they ship them all via USPS. He says his most expensive shipment is 25$.

Deborah, that is UPS that ships snakes. USPS does not allow snake shipments and it is punishable by law under violation of the Lacey Act.

No, I do not beleive that it will. I beleive that Pro Exotics is much better organized. I also beleive that Pro Exotics has taken their time to make sure that one this is set up, it will run smoothly.

My mom works for the USPS, and I hate having anything shipped through them. They take forever, the tracking sux, and they are so darn picky on what is and is not shippable ...

She yelled at me once saying "You always have these UPS and FedEx trucks delivering stuff here! People know I work for the Post Office, WHAT WILL THEY THINK!?".

My response was something along the lines of "If the USPS didn't suck so hard at shipping, and didn't charge out the butt compared to the others .. I would use them!".

She stood there for a few seconds and said "OK, fair enough."

    :)

I love USPS shipping, and I've never had any issue with them. HOWEVER, no they will not ship snakes at all.
UPS may begin, with the new shipyourreptile thing? Fedex ships snakes, all you have to do is to get certified.
