    What about spraying for bugs?
Hi everyone. I have only had snakes since October. With spring coming soon it's almost time for my home to be sprayed for insects. What do I need to do to protect my snakes? The spray that is used is put on in a stream around baseboards, under cabinets, etc. Typical application so it's not really airborn, but I still wonder if there are precautions I should take for the snakes. Thanks in advance! Jami

Interesting question. I live in an apt and I know they spray the baseboards in here from time to time. Anyone have any thoughts?

if they spray in yout kitchen chances are the risk of airbourn contamination is low. or they would make you take precautions to even protect your self.

i would just ask them to skip the room the BP is in and call it a day.

If they are spraying only in the kitchen and bathroom then simply close those doors or plastic sheet the entryway so you can contain the area for about 3 days. You can also ask the company what they are spraying with and google that chemical to get further information on it's potential for issues.

You could put your snake in your bedroom (remember to use something to cover the area under the door) while the home is sprayed and for 3 or 4 days afterward. Then move the snake out and just buy your own spray from the store and do your bedroom yourself or use bug traps.
