I use a very simple setup. 6qt tubs with no holes. I add about 2/3 a bag of hatchrite. I open the lid once each week, and a little more towards the end.

This is what I have done last year and what I am preparing to do again this year
6 quarts tub + vermiculite + water + egg crate

deborah with the egg creat in there is it ok if the vermiculite is a little bit weter then normal?

It definitely takes the headache away from having to mix your medium, the only thing you need to make sure that there is no condensation dripping on your eggs, if there is than you have too much water.
The best is to run your incubator with an egg box to see how much water you really need to obtain as close as possible to 100% without condensation.
