Laying eggs and no one is home?!
so i am starting to get my feet wet in regards to BP breeding....but i was wondering how big of a deal is it to actually be around when the female lays her eggs? b/c i know you have to try and seperate them and incubate. unfortunately i am not going to be at my house for 16 hours at a time ( i work 2 jobs) and i wanted to know if the eggs would be fine if she would lay them (durring the day) and i wouldnt get a chance to get them out until that night?

    thank you

It would be more than fine ... I've had females sit on eggs for a few days before I was able to get to them and they always hatch successfully. They're more resilient than most people imagine. You'll do great! :gj:

Don't forget that in the wild, the females incubate the eggs themselves. As long as you have proper temps and humidity, letting mom do her job for a little while "should" be ok.

When in doubt, listen to Wysocki. :)

it doesent really matter. as long as the male is not in the cage its fine. but you wouldnt want to be gone for a long time.
