    Determining the sex of BPs
    How can you tell if you have a male or female ball python? is it somethign that an experienced person has to do or a vet? Just curious to see what I have and what the snake is that I might get. I have no intent on breeding them but I think it is a good thing to know.

    There are a few methods: Popping, probing, and the good ol' vet check. There are some threads about these around here, but you gotta know what you're doing before you try or you can cause serious injury to the snake.

    I guess it is better to have a vet do it. I dont know any good reptile people around here...

    Google for your local herp society, then contact them and see if they have a member willing to sex them for you.
