    whats kind of thermostat do you guys use for your heat tape. i am about to build my first ball python rack system with heat tape and i need a good thermostatt

    I would say many people would recommend Helix or Herpstat.

    I use a CB-70 rack that I bought from Reptile Basics . The tub is an 30qt. You can also find thermostat at LLL reptiles.

    I've used Helix ( From Helix Controls) and Herpstat (From Spyder Robotics). I've never had a problem with either. I would have to say I will only be using the herpstats in the future , I just like them better than helix, and money wise I think you come out better being that the base helix unit runs 135 and up depending where you buy, and you can get the herpstat nd(night drop) for 135. So herpstat would be my choice for proportional t stats.
