    After thinking a bit
I hadn't found many uses for my temp gun since Abraxas died (BTW I would HIGHLY suggest getting the Tempguns.com PE-2 and metal cast for it). Well I had wondered if Oakley and Hissy's hot side temps were correct because I just switched them both to aspen to help with the lack of humidity in their cages and the humidity was at about 50-55%. I pulled out my temp gun and took the temp of the hot side, 80 degrees. For some reason I trusted completely the thermometer not thinking that that was the temp of the heat pad, not the upper temp. So after I realized that, I cranked up the dimmers to get their temps up. I am really hoping that their humidity will go up and be more manageable with the aspen because it was staying too low with the paper towels.

My friends keep coming over and using the temp gun to measure the temp of EVERYTHING they see. It is pretty funny.

I measured stuff like the flames in the fireplace, my fiancee's butt, the dog's, fridge (both inside and out), and just random stuff like that. It amuses me to see what different temps different stuff is. Heck, I used it this morning to gauge the outside temp. I walked outside and took the surface temp of the concrete outside and it was accurite (63 degrees).
