i did a search and couldnt find any caresheets for ratsnakes. any good sources? do different sub-species require different care? i'm just looking for info and doing research right now

There are a ton of caresheets out there.
There are also a ton of different rat snakes out there.
Narrow down what species you are looking for and do an internet search. The Ratsnake Foundation has a basic overview of rat snakes in general with some basic caresheets.
For specific species like mandarins or subocs, there are individual caresheets scattered about.

Go to Yahoo or Googles search engine and type "species name care sheet". For instance, "Corn Snake care sheet". Using quotes will narrow down junk sites, but it might also eliminate good sources of information. I wouldn't use them.
If you care to tell what species you are looking for, I'm sure someone around here keeps that species/knows of good care sheets.
Most sub-species have way different care. Take Old World Asians vs Corn Snakes. Keep a Cave Dweller (Elaphe taeniura ridleyi) as you would a Corn Snake (Elaphe guttata) and you'd have a dead snake in a week.
