That's an advanced respiratory infection that will not go away with home remedies. You need to take him into a vet ASAP and get him on rounds of antibiotics.

Once it's advanced that far, the risks include scarring of his lungs. Imagine having your lungs filled with mucus and not being able to cough to break any of that up.

High humidity actually helps to break up some of that mucus to make him more comfortable, but it will not "cure" it.

Please plan to have him seen by a vet tomorrow!

Antibiotics from the vet and keep him/her away from your other snakes (if you have any). Wash after coming in contact with her and make sure her temps are good. Sorry to hear your girl is not doing so well :( I hope she gets better soon!!!

Your snake will die unless treated immediately.
You don't seem to be incredibly worried but you are on your way to losing her.
    Get to a herp vet.
Tell them you want Ceftazidime injections. (Fortaz)

I just had two of my females to the vet on friday. They were displaying the same symptoms, the vet gave them Baytril injections. My gravid female seems a little better already. No mucus and the inflamation in her mouth has gone down significantly. The other female is still open mouth breathing and "blowing her nose". Hopefully after a few more injections she'll be doing better. Now I've heard two different thing. I've heard to lower the humidity and others have told me to raise the humidity. Which one is it?

As far as your snake, definately get him to the vet as soon as you can. It's well worth it not to lose him. Good luck and God bless.

Raise the humidity. It helps to break up the mucous and let them breathe easier. Just like if your congested, and you take a steam bath, you can breathe again.

The baytril may not be working for the second snake, call vet and get fortaz also.

Take your snake to a vet asap. It's the only hope to save your snake.

This should not replace a vet visit, will just help until you can get it to the vet.
