    hasn't defecated...
I've had my BP for about a month now, fed him 3 times so far, and as far as I can tell her has not pooped. Nothing in his tank to say otherwise, should I be worried. Should I try anything to help it along?

Has he shed yet? Mine usually drops a huge load right after he sheds. All bal pythons are different. Some poop every two weeks, some hold it for over a month.
Have you felt the area around his vent? Does it feel squishy like normal or kind of hard?
If you are getting worried, try giving him a luke warm soak for about 30 minutes.

thank you for the quick answer. Yes he has shed, the first week I got him actually. So it has been about two weeks since he shed I'd say. When I first got him he was on astroturf for the first week or two. I needed to get the humidity up and bought cypress mulch and covered the astroturf with it, but before I did I checked and did not see any waste. He has passed a urate in the water before bc I had to help him with his shed. It was a white oval-like pass so I think that's a urate.

No - they'll poop when they're ready. I picked up a girl about a month ago that hasn't pooped yet - I'm not worried.

She's not really bloated at her vent, is she? I've only had one hatchling that had a huge urate that was blocking anything getting out that I once had to gently palpate out and then the rest was allowed to come out.
