Welcome to the site. No such thing as a stupid question. I'm not really sure what RHP means. UTH is under tank heat. The HP may mean heat pad??? Good question.

Nothing stupid about asking a question!

RHP = radiant heat panel, as Jenn said. It obviously is used for heating. It won't directly help humidity, but it doesn't suck out the humidity the way heat lamps and CHEs do.

If you ever have trouble figuring out any other terms or abbreviations, you can look at this sticky in the General Herp section:

I have RHPs in all my cages.

What they do is they give off heat like the sun; it heats surfaces in the cage, which then reflect back into the air.

IMO they work best in rooms that are cold; my room gets to 65 in winter and the cool side is ~80, hot side is just 90, ambients 75-77.

UTHs just don't do the job for me in a cool room. For me, all they do is heat the ground, none of the ambient air.

Lights suck out humidity, I just can't think of another heat source that does the job.

this is the problem I think I'm going to have. my room gets down into the mid-60's, especially at night.

do the RHPs work with any kind of enclosure?

Only with cage that have a fixed top, so you're not looking at a glass tank.

These RHP's sound like quite the heating accessory. I'm betting they cost an arm and leg though.
