    nightly news is going to be doing a report on large snakes on the impact they are putting on the state

    i don't know if anyone saw i iwas mainly showing fish and game people how to deal with and catch these kinds of snakes. It also showed the impact it has caused on the wild life and says burmise are swimming to the florida keys and killig off the key deer and some kinda rat.....

    lol you mean the rats that they have been trying to kill off that actually were an invasive species! either way i dont see a burm swimming in salt water!

    they where some kind of wood rat they where tracking it with a colar and found it in the snakes belly even if they did swim in salt water would a shark get a shot at them. this is he crap i hate they have no idea what they are talking about. i still think a 12 foot gator will take out a 10 foot burmese

    do you mean in the everglades? and not the keys? everglades is all freshwater. thats were the bums, retics, and even some nile monitors are.

    I was watching a show on the history channel last night talking about the pythons in the everglades. I also have a sister in law that used to work for the park service down there. It is becoming a problem down there because they are starting to creep into residential areas and go after dogs and cats. They are afraid that humans will be next. This is part of the reason why people are talking about legislation to ban reptiles and pythons more specifically.

    florida already has a strict code on keeping these larger pythons. its pretty extensive. i don't think the new legislation will do anything more than piss people off.
