Hey Bruce, you sure have acquired a LOT of snakes in a relatively short time.
I'm glad to see you ended up getting a pastel girl last season. Still sucks about the other one.
I have a rescue here as well that at the time I acquired her had not had anything to eat in over 9 months. Played veterinarian and got her all fixed up.
Now she hits f/t rats like a bullet train.
Don't you live in a condo or apartment? Where do you keep all the snakes??

Re: Samantha is a cochon!
We were in a loft, but are in a 7.5 now. So the snakes have their own room, with 3 QT areas.
It works out great now. And the snake room in an inner room, so no windows, temp flutuations, escape routes, etc.
I have fingers crossed for a few more pastel girls this season, and I have a pastel and spider female coming this month (hopefully) from another RC member.
I have a tendency to pick up several snakes at a time when I purchase if possible. Cuts down on QT if 3-4 can be QTed together.
I am always amazed with rescues, I have seldom had trouble getting them to eat, 90% of the time it is simple husbandry, but this girl was not being neglected (she got scale rot when she was in the owners mothers care for a few months).
But she is just a gem of a snake. I could not be happier with her. I have a really soft spot for pets that need a good home...

Good thing you got her in time. She sounds precious, I bet she's so happy to have you as an owner. Do you have any pictures of her? :D
