    Hey Guys,

    Haven't been on in a while, school has had me going 24/7 lately.

    But anyways, I have noticed my BP has been "yawning" a lot as of the last couple of days. I was just wondering why this is and if I should have any concerns. He does it at night when he comes out to roam and switch hides. Temps and Humidity are spot on and I don't see any problems with the cage/environment. Any info would be appreciated! Thanks all!

    My Normal guy does it all the time as well. As long as you don't see or hear any signs of an RI, it's probably just a thing he does. My Normal does it all the time, and my Pastel never does.

    my yellowbelly male and my normal female both do it. i'm convinced that its a jaw setting/stretching action, kinda like cracking your knuckles or your back, just workin the kinks out.

    Have you ever thought that maybe he or she was trying to scream but couldn't get a sound out? jk...

    If he's doing it excessively, it could be the beginning of an RI - best to get him seen by a vet and starting meds to nip it in the bud before it becomes too severe. Worst case, it's nothing, but you will have peace of mind.

    they always do it after a meal to re-align their jaw. sometimes they just do beacause there stratching

    I have only had my guy about 3 weeks. But, have noticed he yawns also. I am glad to hear it seems to be normal behavior as long as not excessive.
