    Do I seperate the male?
I bought mice & fed off all but 2, then I switched to rats, well as my luck would have it I got a prego now. Do I leave the male in with her, or do I separate this is her first litter.

I never separate my males, I have only had weak ones get eaten, no mother frenzy what so ever.

I do not breed mice, but do rats. I always separate the prego females. Before I separated them, some of the babies were being eaten. This never happens anymore since I started separating them.

If I read your post right you said you switched to rats. So I'm assuming that you do not want to breed mice. If that is the case then you need to take the male out or you will probably end up with another litter just as soon as the first litter is weaned.

With mice I leave the males in with them.
