Thinkin of getting a Red Tail Boa
Found a very pretty female at a local pet store. This snake seems to be very healthy, has a very strong feeding response and seems pretty content laying on my shoulders. I have dont a lot of research over the web, but nothing is better than getting live answers from you guys. Yall have helped me out a lot with getting my BP set up so im looking to you for some more answers.

My questions are, what are the care differences between the red and my BP. I know the environment set up has to be a little different. How is the temperment of the Red tail.

    thanks a lot

we just got a female a little while ago and now have 1 of each (bp and boa). When we first got the boa, she hissed at us when we opened her tub to take her out, but has stopped now and shes a total sweetie pie.

i was a bit skeptical to get a boa when we just had the bp, but now i would totally get another one ( sunglow, sumday). ;)

Cage size will be the biggest difference. Adult boas need a 4' cage. Adult bp's can be in 32qt their whole lives.

As far as temperament.....some are sweet as pie...others......well..

But generally speaking boas are a fairly laid back snake especially compared to baby morelia
