    ONce they stop eating
Ok, got 2 females that almost certainly are prego.... they both have refused food 3 weeks in a row. Should I just stop offering food until after the eggs come at this point?

1 of these two is still locking up. What does that mean?! Does that change your answer to the first question?

Do you feed live of FT? I feed FT so I thaw out enough to feed what I know will eat. For instance my dwarf boa eats the same size food as one of my het albinos who always eats. If the dwarf boa doesn't eat then I feed it to the het albino, if she does eat I just thaw out another rat for the het albino.

I wouldnt do that, just because of the small chance the dwarf boa has some nasties that you may not know about. I would hate to pass that on to the next snake. If one of my snakes refuse its meal i dispose of the rat/mouse/asf. Mike i would keep offering until you are 100% sure the animal is gravid.

My dwarf boa is refusing food because she's breeding, not cause she's sick. This is under the impression that your animals are breeding not sick.

Just because a ball python stops eating doesn't mean she's gravid.

    Hope this helps.

Im sorry if i gave you the impression that i was assuming your animal is sick, i was simply stating that i eer on the side of caution, and dont risk passing anything over to another snake.

I agree, she could just be beginning to cycle or just not be that hungry due to a large meal or cooler temps.

I have a girl that refuses a meal when she first starts cycling then she starts eating again then stops again as she gets closer to ovulation. Unless you have seen the ovulation you cant be sure. Also has she started glowing yet? That is a good sign as well.
