    Acurite vs. Flukers
I have my thermostat set to my acurite and it turns on when the temp reaches 91 degrees and boosts up to 94.2. Meanwhile my flukers sitting right next to the acurite probe reads 84.

I just changed out the battery in the acurite because I was sure it was off based on these findings, but the temps are still the same. Do you think this is acurate?

its has been said that the flukers thermomter is well basically junk
im sure if you hit it with a temp gun that accurite is within a degree or 2

why 94 thats pretty high unless your having an ri or something going on i wouldnt go over 90 but thats just me

    Everyone tells me different temps!!!!!!!!

I hear 94 from one guy and the next will tell me 92!

On a side note my snakes hide in his warm side is like a rock and conducts a lot of heat from the above lamp. Do you think this could burn him, I have noticed a mark on him similar to shedding, been wondering where it came from

well everyone keeps different temps thats why i said i wouldnt, but for what its worth flexwatt should NOT be ran more than 95.

if that hide gets too hot it will burn him. i would surely make sure that nothing the snake could touch would get over 95 ever. personally i dont know at what point they start to burn and i dont honestly think anyone really does, but some uth(zoomed) can get well over 100 and they will cause severe burns.
