Difference between flexwatt & repti heat cable
What is the difference between these two products if any at all? I have never seen flexwatt in person so I haven't a clue. By the description of the repti heat cable it is quite similar.

Also I purchased a BP book that stated you can find flexwatt in hardware stores. Do you know of any stores where I can purchase to try out?

    Thank you

i have only seen flexwatt at expos and even then its a long shot check out bigappleherp they have about the best price/s&h combo ive seen plus have great customer service.

and the diff is flexwatt will heat a strip of 3", 4" 11" or 17" wide for as many feet as you cut it and a cable will heat a strip bout wide as your cable tv for as many feet as you run it. not sure how many watts cable is but flexwatt is only 20 watts for the 11" and i wanna say 6 for the 4 dont know the others off top of my head

flexwatt is a thinner, wider, flatter heating source that requires some electrical wiring.

the heat rope is simply a long cord that plugs in on one end and run it where ever you want.

Flexwatt works great. Probably the most popular.
the heat rope, you will probably get mixed reviews on. Personally, I like it. It depends on how you're using it. Vision Racks are made to use the heat rope.

I bought some of the the rope from big apple. I made a cheapy playwood 8 tub rack with the heat rope inside. It works great. Im going to build a better rack soon and ill buy the big apple stuff again.
