    Curious about being Bitten?
Ok, before everyone decides to bug me and laugh at me and think I am being paranoid a question for all you amazing peeps! lol

I was bitten about 2 months ago, it caught me on the index finger nuckle, no big deal, it latched on for a bit and he let go. I removed two teeth the following day but now it has been 2 months and this past weekend I moved my finger in a weird way it just killed! it felt as if something was still in my finger! (Hmmm a tooth maybe 1 more) the bite actually opened up and bled a bit now it is really kind of sore and a pain in the butt!

Has this ever happened to any of you, I think there is still a tooth left in my finger after two months and now it deciders to get infected! it is swollen and all red and I am actually surprised and feel like an ass going to the doctor and explaining this! man am I being a whimp but hey I don't want it to be infected!

Oh by the way everyone when I pulled the teeth out one I actually pulled out with me teeth as I was trying to pull out a sliver, OMG I have never ever tasted something so awful and weird in my mouth as I spat it out, it was so small but the taste was overwhelmingly horrible!

Well, it can get infected if you don't keep it clean.

And, if you get bit on a nerve or something else that can affect your movement, it will hurt!

If you are concerned about it, go to a doctor.

Or, if you can handle it, lance it properly and take the tooth out yourself :)

Lots of soap, warm water, betadine, and bandaids.

Infections aren't something to take lightly. I would suggest you get it looked at if you can.

Also, infections -can- get down into the bone if they are severely neglected, which can potentially result in am amputation. Personally, I'd rather go to the doc and risk being called a wimp than not going and risk losing a finger. Use some triple anti-biotic, neosporin, whatever. You can take a disinfected or new needle (alcohol whipes, or hold the head of the needle just above the blue cone on a flame will disenfect this, i personally would use new but if you have sewing needles around the home) you can poke a hole and squeeze the puss out, and apply the triple antibiotic to relieve pressure on the wound.
My #1 rule, when i doubt, go to a doc.

I agree- I'd go to a doctor. Especially if it's been two months. Who knows what kind of work that infection could've been doing to you without you even knowing it's there!

Make sure to watch the snake for mouth rot. Anytime they lose teeth in a bight their chances go up.
