    Questions on Humidity??
I know it is a sin of herps, but I only have an analog hygrometer, and It was staying on 50-55, but when I put the aluminum foil on the tank like someone suggested, it darted up to 75, and this worries me, as I do not know if this analog humidity gage is just crap and the humidity is know right, and the gage is just crappy or what.. I am planning on getting a digital in two weeks but until then do you guys or girls think my boy will be all right until I can get a good hygrometer...:snake:

If you have 50+% humidity already, there is no need to put foil on top of the tank. The only reason you need that is so that you can increase your humidity. Make sure your gauge is accurate and if it is, and humidity is at around 50%, then there is no need for the foil, or moss, or whatever other tricks we try to increase humidity.

Your analog gauge is probably just junk. I had one that said it was 60% in the tank but it was closer to 40%. Get a digital gauge then decide whether you need foil.

Better off with a digital gauge.

I had analog and digital and there was at least a 20-30% difference

Coconut Fiber, Sphagnum moss all help increase humidity as well as covering the screen :)
