Re: Questions on Humidity??
If you have 50+% humidity already, there is no need to put foil on top of the tank. The only reason you need that is so that you can increase your humidity. Make sure your gauge is accurate and if it is, and humidity is at around 50%, then there is no need for the foil, or moss, or whatever other tricks we try to increase humidity.
Re: Questions on Humidity??
Alright Thank you very much anybody else with any info
Re: Questions on Humidity??
I took all the alumin to check to see if it lowers....to proper humidity
Re: Questions on Humidity??
who makes a good humidity gauge?? i have used 3 different ones and they all read differ
a flukers - digital
a kritters - analog
and a med zilla - analog
they all read different
Re: Questions on Humidity??
Your analog gauge is probably just junk. I had one that said it was 60% in the tank but it was closer to 40%. Get a digital gauge then decide whether you need foil.
Re: Questions on Humidity??
i did away with tanks there junk in my mind
good for feeding in tho or keeping mice/rats in
Re: Questions on Humidity??
Better off with a digital gauge.
I had analog and digital and there was at least a 20-30% difference
Re: Questions on Humidity??
yeah my digital reads about 20-30% difference than a analog
whats the best bedding for keeping up humidity
Re: Questions on Humidity??
Coconut Fiber, Sphagnum moss all help increase humidity as well as covering the screen :)
