    New KSB-Name her!
I am picking up this beauty tomorrow around 1pm...
Hatch date was in August 2008.
Purchasing from Kenyan Sand Boa breeder in Indiana...Google Jason's Jungle for his site...
Pic is straight off the breeder's site...will put some up of my own when I get her home(but not too many for a bit so she can settle)
Anyways, here she is! NAME HER! (PS...no "Sandy-The-Sand-Boa" please:P)

    Beautiful snake.

    I am thinking, "Briana".

But then again, I like "normal" names for my snakes. What kind of names do you prefer? "Normal", fantasy, cutesy, etc.?

LOL...thanks a million for the suggestion ;) But I just couldn't name my snake a "normal" name like that...my Pit/Boxer is named Bronx, and my White German Shepherd is named Alaska...so I think I may try to dig up a "native" name for them, or a cool name from East Africa, where they come from:)

    Bantu

I did a little research. I named my boa after the native people of the region of origin of the snake and I plan on doing so for every pet I get.

Holy crap Ev, where did you find that?

My buddy, fellow 911 dispatcher here in Indiana, named his male BP, Ibo.
The African people that "worship" ball pythons...they actually spell it Ighbo I believe...but awesome idea, thanks man!

You're welcome, I think it makes the explanation of the pets name more significant. I'm glad you like the idea.

I think I am going to roll with "Kamba"...they are a people that live in South-Central Kenya...and I think Kamba is more "girlie," but I am going back to the same breeder after this season and picking up an Anery Male...btw did I mention that this girl is 100% Het. for Anery?! Oh I love KSB's! haha

Good name, I'm glad I could help out. Kamba is definitely more girly than Bantu, and it suits the snake very well!

BTW I didn't even read your post about being a "native name," :P I was just trying to start a new trend

Hahh... to each his own! I have snakes named Jake, Luke, and Jeremy... I don't know, I just couldn't bring myself to name one of them something like Mr. Scales... But the African naming thing is kind of cool :gj:
