    havent had any more litters :/
    i got my first asf's about 4 months ago. i just got 1.2 to start off with. both females were both of breeding size and one was prego when i got them. the male was only about 25g's though.

    well the one female had her first litter a few weeks later and only had 4 babies. one died and i was down to three.

    i now have 2.4 rats and have yet to have another litter or any signs of my females being pregnant. the babies are all now around 40grams, and the original male i got is now up to par with the other females at 55-60grams.

    so just want some advice. maybe im just being impatient, but i figured i would have a good colony going by now.

    I am still pretty new to this. I got my ASF's less than a month ago and I already have three litters on the ground.

    I have 3 breeder groups 1.2, 1.2, and a 1.3. I do not know why your ASF's would not be breeding. Where did you get your ASF's from. Are they reputable? I would look into getting a new breeding trio from some one else and see what you get.

    yeah im goin yo try and get a few more and see where it goes from there.

    could it have something to do with two males being together with the females? i just have them all together for now because of space issues in the feeder room.

    I'm far from an expert when it comes to ASFs, but everything I've read and the advice of others points to using only one male in each breeding group. Maybe the females had pups but one of the males killed them because they weren't his babies?

    I'd break them up into 2 groups of 1.2 each, and give them another month or two before you give up on them.

    First number to the left of the decimal represents the number of males. Second number, to the right of the decimal represents the number of females.

    1.0 = 1 male
    0.1 = 1 female
    1.2 = 1 male, 2 females
