    snake pee smell after cleaning?
i use bactine to clean my cages, i wipe the bactine down with alcohol antibacterial wipes, after that i give the whole cage a spritz of water and wipe it down again.

before i put anything back in the cage it still smells like snake pee.

it's an aquarium so it's sealed on the inside. with all this antibacterial i don't see how it still smells every time i clean it.

Maybe bactine and alcohol produce a pee smell?

i used to use the bactine only, just recently started using the alcohol whipes because i finally got fed up with the stale snake pee smell.

do i need to use something that suds? maybe a degreeser? maybe the pee is just engrained in the glass or silicone?

    i'm stumped.
