I've eaten frogs legs before too. They were tough, stringy and overcooked.

When I was growing up, I spent all my summers at our family cabin on a lake in Northern Michigan. There was a lady of French Canadien heritage that would pay me in the form of huckleberry pies (made from wild berries) to go out in a swamp in a canoe with a bb gun and shoot bullfrogs so she could dine on their legs which she regarded as a great delicacy.

Frog legs are a common part of restaurant menus around here and found on just about any buffet. I haven't had much interest in trying them, though.

My old house was walking distance from this fish camp restaurant that had frog legs, alligator tail, and even snake! I tasted all 3 and all 3 almost made me throw up. Now, I do eat balut. I love those things. For those who don't know what a balut is, I won't tell ya. :D You have to google it. What can I say... I'm Filipino!

I used to get that down at the County owned Campgrounds that is on the same lake. Families would come and stay there for 1 or 2 weeks at a time all summer, mostly from Ohio. It was a regular smorgasboard.

I was watching the Ultimate Fighter show and one of the guys on the show was eating balut! Not something I'd like to try but it's different that's for sure.
