Mine doesnt grow either...
Yeah its grown sense iv gotten it but not like a fast noticeable amount.
She eats every week... but just stays small...
Re: Kingsnake not growing???
You should be feeding it fuzzies every 3-5 days, while gradually increasing the size of the food. Start with peach fuzzies and work up to large over the next month or so. No offense, but your snake is starving. Don't be afraid to feed more than one prey item at a time either. At this age, your snake should be around 30-40".
Re: Kingsnake not growing???
I've honestly been trying to feed him 2 pinkies at a time but he wont ever take the 2nd one. I don't think he could handle a fuzzy

You would be very suprised at what they can handle. If he doesn't take a second meal per feeding, try the next day. What are your temps like? What is your setup like?
Re: Kingsnake not growing???
87 on the warm side UTH, 78 cool side. hides on both sides. aspen bedding, water dish. 30% humidity.
Re: Kingsnake not growing???
Sounds perfect. How large is the cage, and are you feeding it inside the cage? If so, try putting it in something smaller while feeding....at least until it gets a little more size on it. I would still continue to try to feed every couple of days if it is only eating one item at a time. Pinkies are usually digested in the matter of a day or so. Feed often. Keep me posted.
Re: Kingsnake not growing???
It also could be genetic...
I rescued a small albino 50/50 cal king, the owner had gotten him as a near hatchling, 2+ yrs ago now, fed weekly, never escaped... Hardly grew an inch.
I gave him to a friend so see him often, he has shed, but not grown. Eats like a pig.
here is a pic of him soon after i got him.
The previous owner had pics dated back those two years.

Re: Kingsnake not growing???
I do think that smaller, older animals can be stunted. I've had slow starters that just didn't grow while being assist fed. Even after they began feeding on their own, they did not grow like others. When I see smaller animals, I chalk it up to lack of food, whether it be inconsistent feeding, too small of meals, or reluctance to increase the frequency or size of prey items. Most kingsnakes should be 30-40" by 12-18 months old.
Either way, as long as they are eating and healthy, you should be fine.
