is it true that snakes cant the specturm of ligh given off by red infrared bulbs?.... i was told that by the lady i bought my BP off of but lookin back she was pretty much wrong on everything else lol - she told me to keep the cage at 80%humiduty and to use packing tape, of all things, to put over the screen lid to keep the humidity in- needless to say i learned the hard way on that one !

I have had a lot of problems with my pet store around here. This man has helped me out a lot for a beg. with my BP, But he has told me a bunch of crud. I have had this snake for two weeks + now, and he was staying in his hide. I know that BP's are very shy, and i was putting it off thinking it was alright. I got on here and read a bunch or articles and tried some of the stuff, and know my BP is coming out, and looking around.. Somtimes we have to learn the hard way for Beg. Also learning about the conditions of the tank and snake before you get it is always best.

Reptiles and amphibians cannot see the red spectrum of light, so a large wattage red bulb is ideal for nighttime viewing.
