Stuff my Dogs drag into the yard (Need help IDing)
Living out in the boonies, I have seen some pretty cool things, and some pretty unusual things as well. And here is one of them that my pup just had to show me.
I was kinda hoping someone could Identify the remains, if its possible that is.
This one was found three feet infront of my door

And this one was infront of my deck.

Re: Stuff my Dogs drag into the yard (Need help IDing)
But seriously, I'd have to bet on deer carcass being the origin for those bones, simply because any other animal large enough to leave that(unless my frame of reference for judging size is completely out of whack) aren't as common. I for the life of me can't think of what bone that would be, but then again I never took human or animal anatomy.

lol, Yeah it is. I think it could be from a wild deer. We have predators around here (north central Florida) that could certainly to that. Bobcats, possible fl. panther sighting, humans even.
Now imagine stepping on the juicy one in the grass, bare foot while taking the trash out.

Most likely, we have tons of deer running around here. But we also have wild pigs.

Yep, that appears to be it. Thanks Typical 08!
I guess I now have the two hine legs of some poor deer.
Re: Stuff my Dogs drag into the yard (Need help IDing)
The bottom one could be the fore leg, I can't really tell with the flesh still attached.
They will make good chew bones for them. If you are worried about rotten flesh just soak it in warm water for a day or two then pull the flesh off. But don't boil them because it can make the bones brittle and can shatter into shards.
