    Home-made Design?
Design for a homemade display box??
Thinking about using 1" thick fiberboard from Home Depot. Acrylic sheet (plexi) for the display window with holes soldered into it for air. As well as some screen in the top to set heat source/lights on and allow for more air circulation.
False bottom to allow for a "sunk-in" water bowl design. May or may not keep the "door" to the false bottom as space would be too small for storage anyways...
With living space at 22"x22"x11"tall, it gives an area approx. 23 gal.
But is this better than a 20gal tank since it is 22"x22" the snake will have about 4sq.ft. of floor space?

This is just an early plan....please some advice from some people who actually have some experience with building their own enclosures???

I would recommend building it 36inches long, that is what i did. and if you want a very clean display i would recommend an 80 watt reptile basics Radiant Heat Panel. But i might be wrong. Here is a pic of my cage.

That's a great looking cage!! I agree that the RHP is awesome!! I also think that 12" high is plenty for a ball python and the extra length is good too!! I have 6 reptile cages from RBI and the dimensions are 3x2x1 (LxWxH). My snakes love them!!!
