    Black Pastel help
    Hello all,

I hazard to even put this up here as I dont really think its a biggie and I plan to prove it out anyway. Here it goes.....I began breeding last year and one of my breeders was a black pastel to a normal. Out of a clutch of 5, I had one badly deformed, one very obvious black pastel and 3 "normals". These hatched in July and as they are getting older one of them may be a possible. The other 2 I think are just real hot normals but I will let you decide. I included pics of Dad so you have a basis for comparison. Here we go and be gentle on me :).

    Thanks for your input

Babies #2 and 3 look like normals to me, but baby #1 is questionable

    Hi,

    Do you have belly shots?

I thought Black Pastels had clear bellies.

Do you have pictures of the 'obvious black pastel'? Because I can't say that dad himself looks like an obviously black pastel. I believe he is, but not the greatest example.

That's what I was just thinking. I'd lean more towards all 3 of the hatchlings being normal myself.

Dad is definitely a black pastel. The baby I sold so when I get home tonight I will post it. Thanks for the input.

Here is the one of the definite black pastels. The other one I was sure about was badly deformed and had to be put down.
