As a personal rule, I don't take in birds other people are just tired of and no longer have time for any more. Only special cases, I'm only human and only have time to clean so many cages. But one popped up recently that swung on my old heart strings and I couldn't say no.

She's 3 years old, and her elderly daddy recently went into the hospital. He's on a breathing tube and all, and is slipping downhill from what I understand. He was worried sick about what would happen to his "daughter". The lady caring for them, knowing we have birds and love them, asked if we'd take her. How could I refuse?

Meet Tinkerbell. 21 grams of amazon spitfire and attitude. Yes, she's a pacific parrotlet, but for goodness sakes don't tell her she's teeny!

    LOVE her!!

I'm hopefully going to pick up someone soon, once I get everything set up. There is nothing quite like having a little birdy on your shoulder.

Used to have them all the time as a child, since my mother was allergic to everything..

I really love the colors on the Sun Conures, but I've never had one, so I'm not sure if I'm ready to branch out.

Also, the African Greys are awesome...

I loooooved my Lovebirds when I was a kid, and my Cockatiel...

So, things are still up in the air at this point.

I have to convince Joel anyway.. Although I think he is already on board.

Aww I have a pacific parrotlet too and he is a handful!! LOL Don't mistake parrotlets as small as they have so much personality like their cousins the amazon!! Mine bites my cockatiels!! He can be a spitfire but I love him!! Melissa
