    Cleaning....
    I just bought a new un-used 40 gallon tank. Do I clean it some special way before I move in my Bp?? It's from Petsmart.

    I would clean it out with a 10% bleach solution and rinse well a few times, you can never be too careful.

    vinegar and water is safer and has been used for cleaning glass for a long time.

    ya but when cleaning a glass tank for any kind of animal disinfecting the enclosure is more important than a streek free shine!! :P .... ive been using anti bactrial dish soap

    You may already know this, but in case you don't... after you clean it, leave the tank for 20-30 minutes before putting your BP back in it or at least until the tank is fully dry, as to let any chemical evaporate.:)
