Turning eggs??

Does anyone know a youtube video, or a thread or anything that can help me with turning the eggs, i read that you have to, but am clueless on how to. if noone has a link ot the video can one of you "pro breeders" make one??

you do NOT turn ball python eggs. You bury them halfway in vermiculite, or perlite, and keep proper temps, and LEAVE THEM ALONE.

Where did you read that you need to "turn" ball python eggs, and... because i want to make sure that im not misinterpreting what you mean by Turning, What WAY do you mean turning them? Rotating them, horizontally inside the incubator? Or turning the eggs, like chicken or bird eggs?

Either way. You do not turn them. you leave them alone.

I've not bred snakes....I've only read a ton about it and seen some of the biggest breeder's incubators first hand. ;) I don't believe you're supposed to turn the eggs at all. In fact, breeders are very careful to make sure the "top" of the egg remains oriented toward the "top" as best they can when removing the eggs from the snake and putting them in an incubator. So long as the incubation medium and environment is correct, you shouldn't need to mess with the eggs at all.

as far as I know, all reptile eggs are never supposed to be turned.

You have to turn CHICKEN eggs, but you NEVER turn snake eggs. Good luck!

Ball Python eggs should be dug about 1/4 way under proper incubator substrate (hatch rite, vermiculite, or perlite) and left alone the only reason for you to even go near them during the incubation process is if the tub is too wet or too dry in which case you either need to spray or add water to the mixture, or add more substrate to dry up the mixture. Never turn your eggs, ever.

Not sure where i read it, but am 100 percent positive i read that you have to turn the eggs frequently, and 98 percent sure they were talking about snakes, but i never heard anything else about it so just wanted to double check..

you dont ever want to turn the snake eggs, you even have to be very carefull while puting them in an incubator.

snake eggs have a little air bubble at the top most part of the egg that is formed moments after being laid. if you turn the egg this bubble gets moved and when the snake starts the try hatching and there is no bubble for it to get its air from then it dies. NEVER TURN!!!:colbert:
