    rubber maid shoe size tubs
    :rat::rat:i was walmart today a saw that they had the shoe size tubs on sale for a dollar each are these good size tubs for rack systems or should i go bigger thanks jason

    They would be good for a hatchling rack...but not much else. If you are wanting a rack for something other than baby bps or colubrids, I would get at least 12-15 qt's as the smallest tub in the rack.. Adult bp's will need 32-40+qt tubs.

    The shoeboxes are 6qt's btw.

    yeah i grabbed 20 so but i was sure if they where to small for mice

    Lol....guess I should have realized this was in the feeder section.

    You could probably get away with keeping a preggo mom and her babies in one....I dunno about a breeding setup...might be too small.

    You could try a breeding pair, MAYBE a trio and see how it goes, but I would separate the moms when they are about to pop.

    I would not use them. As those babies grow it will be very tight and cramped, not to mention very stinky. I wouldnt feel comfortable with that size, female rats grow fairly large.

    Your better off using the 12 qt's for baby snakes.
