disturbin youtube vid.

i was crusing youtube yesterday day and seen by far the most horrific example of power feeding ... some Jacka$$, with a capital J n A ... was feeding his burm or retic. after the rat was almost swallowed they shoved a poor helpless baby chick down the snake throat - ALIVE!!:rage: ... i could hardly watch the whole vid as this lil chick cherped all the way down .. i was almost sick to my stomach... its beyond me why anyone would do that let a lone put it on the net ... i just hope to god that snake takes the guys arm off next time :please:

Maybe he didn't have the heart to kill the chick himself, but wanted the snake to get a taste for chickens since it'll be eating them when it gets older. So, unfortunately, he fed the chick live.

... That's probably all BS, but I'm trying to say something nice instead of negative. I don't like irresponsible keepers. :(

It's because he's too much of a jerk to kill the bird. In the inbred way of thinking it was a cool youtube video. A snake that big can't kill something that small (at least with what I've seen from large carpets and mice). Mind, nothing nice to be said. I have never seen a burm shoot down FT especially while in the feeding response. I will admit I have pushed stuff behind small items. However, most of the carpet keepers know how hard it is to get a mice fed carpet on rats. I'd feed a FT pink then a FT rat pink while in hunt mode or on occasion if it wouldn't take it at all I would shove the pink head in the mouth while the tail of the mouse pink was going down so the snake never knew it was 2. I don't recommend everyone do this!

I will do the same thing if my JCP won't take rats again; I've already done this once before, but then the animal was dead.
