    Bleeding associated with Shedding?
    Hi guys, my spider ball python just finish shedding a few minutes ago, and right next to his shed was a small dot of blood... Im a bit worried and not sure if he injured himself, does this usually happen??? ill try to get pics up soon, but my camera just died..

    yeah its normal.. mine does it everytime they shed...

    If it's not a huge gash and doesn't continue to bleed, he may have just scratched himself a bit while breaking the loose skin.
    Do you have any accessories that may be too sharp?

    Hi,

    On mine it tends to come from the delicate skin around the vent. As long as it is a small amount and doesn't continue to bleed it's nothing to worry about.

    lol nope, i only have a clay hide, and small waterdish which is smooth, the bleeding looked like it was coming from his vent ...

    Thankyou! I feel releived now :) Yea, thats exactly where the bleeding was from! but it doesnt seem to be bleeding anymore, just two small dots.
