    Multi-quoting portions?
Alright, so one would think that after 6ish months in this community, I would have learned how to quote just a portion of someones post, and potentially string it together in a multi-quote response.

I tried a bunch of searches, tried a couple different ways with just previewing my message and low and behold, I still can't get it. I feel useless and shameful for ever calling myself tech savvy....:(

    Thanks for the tips.

Hit the quote button on the bottom left hand corner of every page. It’ll take you to another frame, which shows you what the person you are trying to quote said. Simply delete the section you no longer want, in the quote to make a partial quote.

I tried that in this post....and, well, you see what happened. Instead of having the quote box, it just made it into a bunch of punctuation and numbers.

If this is what you want to do just use the http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...MultiQuote.jpg button and than the http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...Pnet/Quote.jpg button

and if you're talking about quoting just a portion, just remove what you don't want and the quote will only display what's between the [QUOTE][/QUOTE] tags

[QUOTE=ThyTempest;955012*]<- Make sure to have this still there, before you delete anything else.

[/QUOTE*]<- Don't delete the closing tab.

    Just FYI,
You can use the [noparse][/noparse] tags so that things don't render out.

    For instance: [quote]quote goes here[/quote]
