Snake Therapy

I've been calling handling a snake "therapy" or "getting a fix" since we got our first over a year ago. But my husband calls it an an addiction.

Guess we're not the only ones! My mom brought me this article. I googled it and found it for you all. Turns out there are quite a few results on google for snake therapy!!!

I couldn't figure out why she would let a snake that just ate be handled that way....???

I had this fantasy about starting a snake therapy thing - but not massage, just handling and chilling and getting into the feel of their skin and strong muscles on your hands/arms/lap (fully dressed, mind you!). But I'm not sure I'm that adventurous. I'd rather do snake education presentations and just let people handle the snake as a bonus so they buy into snakes being beneficial and never kill them just for being snakes! Geesh. Those people bug me. OK, I'll stop off my soap box now.

I think that the snake therapy thing has a lot of potential. I find it extremely relaxing to handle them. It is very difficult for me to relax at all (always on the go), but you have no choice when handling a snake. But I think educating society snakes is probably a step needed before 'snake spas'...lol. But, who knows? Maybe it'll be like Starbuck's...

If I had the room, I so would start one....but I'm not sure how that would go over up here. Around here snakes are killed on sight. I hate these jerks. I almost got hit by a car moving a bull out of the road one day last summer. I think I need a few more snakes before I get the spa going, Free spa, any donations? LOL
