    Is this normal BP behavior?
I've had my BP for almost 2 weeks and I fed him last Monday, and he has been inside his "cool side hide" 24 hours/day since. I'm able to check on him every hour, and I have not seen him come out for water or anything. So finally I opened up the hide last night to make sure he was still there and when I moved the moss back he snapped at me and I noticed his eyes were clouded over. So obviously he is in shed, but my question is will he continue to stay in his hide throughout the whole shed?....And, I have read that shed lasts for up to 14 days, So will he not come out for water or anything for that entire 14 days?

He may he may not! :weirdface

They are all different and if they get enough moisture in their food and humidity in their enclosure they will rarely get a drink. As for the snapping, We have a little Yellow belly that bit me 5 times on the knuckles, 2 times on one thumb, 2 differnt fingers once each, and 1 time on the arm all while holding him today to try and take a couple pictures. He was renamed from Mellow Yellow to Hell Spawn after that. First ball python out of all 28 to bite me. He isn't even in shed.

Just make sure he has the right humidity in his cage. Offer him a tupperware full of damp moss. Mine never comes out when he is about to shed.

Yeah the humidity has been around 75-80% and I have a small dish of moss that I have been spraying occasionally, so I think that should be enough. I guess I'm just going to wait and see if he ever comes out...:weirdface
