Had you actually fallen for it, I would have been sorely disappointed.

I seriously hate to disappoint myself and feel even stronger about sorely disappointing myself, so, in order not to feel such gut wrenching pain, I did not inform a select few, thus avoiding entirely the necessity of letting myself down.
