    He regurgatated...
I fed my 4ft + his meal today, i usually go with f/t large rats, but the place was all out and wasn't getting any for a while, so i decided to get him a live one ( he's had live plenty of times, taken it fine ). This rat was rather large, at first site i thought it was way too big, then looked at it and figured it was probably only a little bigger than the thickets part of my RTB's body. So i fed it to him, and he threw it up after consuming it all. I've only had 2 snakes in my time, about 4 years experiance, and never had one regurgatate it's prey before. After he threw it up, he was just going back and fourth in his cage almost looking for more food.

Do i wait a couple days, a week, or feed him right away? Any help would be great seeing how i've never had this happen to me before and don't know much about handling it.

    thanks! :)

I would wait at least 2 weeks before trying to feed again. Also I would give him a smaller meal then he normaly gets.

This is what I would do too.

i saw him from a distance consume it while i was watching a movie, last i saw he was taking the tail in, then maybe 10 minutes later i looked back and saw it was thrown up in the corner, so it wasn't long after consuming.

So i guess wait 1 to 2 weeks before feeding, most likely 2 weeks?

As was said: Wait two weeks and feed smaller prey size than what the snake would typically eat.

When snakes regurge, they throw up all of the acids that they have to break the prey down. If you feed too early, there won't be enough acids and regurge could happen again, being dangerous to the snake and the esophageal lining, etc.

So, wait two weeks (at least) and feed a smaller prey size; much smaller.
