    Reptile Hides?
Does anyone know a good online place to get hides for BP online? I need some adult sized, juvie sized and some baby sized. I saw some neat ones for babies in my book the complete ball python that had water bowls ontop so they couldnt tip the water over, who sells them? I'm also looking for a nice box for a possibly soon to be gravid female.

I purchase my hides from Reptile Basics: http://www.reptilebasics.com/Hide-Boxes-p-1-c-282.html.

I don't know what you mean about a box for a gravid female. Are you thinking of maternal incubation? If so, just the tub and a nest of sphagnum moss and a lot of worry will do the trick ;)

    wallmart.
Clay pots and bases come in different sizes. Plastic tubs just cut a hole comes in clear and colored. Just wander through the housewares area.

I was just telling my son 2 days ago that I want a hide/water combo, I've never seen one though, I've made the playdough clay hides, they work ok, was thinking of trying cold porcelain clay. ceramic clay (kiln dried) to make the water/hide combo

I purchased some from Reptile Basics also. Once I put those in the tank the others stopped being used.

For smaller snakes I like index card boxes. Cut a hole in the top and lay it on its side. Stick a moist paper towel inside during shed cycles and the snake has its own private humidity box to crawl in and help getting rid of sheds.

The hides Rich sells on his site are the bomb. I bought some at a show, and my BP never uses anything else....as an added bonus, he moves them where he wants them in the cage.

+1 I use the hides Rich sells too, in fact I just ordered some more. :D

For shedding I add a gladlock container with moist sphagnum in it and a hole cut in the lid.
