No you cant hold an argus, or put it on a leash,all monitors are for looking at not really holding,etc. You should only feed them whole prey items for food depending on size (roaches,crickets,mice,small rats,chicks,fish,etc). They are very active monitors which need a huge cage depending on what you get (male or female and have a strong feeding response. A 3ft female can live in an 8x4 but a male at 4 ft+ is going to need a larger cage but it can also live in a 8x4 too but will be crapped.
